A free consultation designed to understand the client’s wants and needs resulted in a program focused on confidence building, stakeholder engagement, executive presence, and mentorship best practices.
Coach and client also agreed to start with an 8-session, 1:1 coaching package paired with the Clifton Strengths Assessment.
Coach and client met bi-weekly to build on core focus areas and set intentional practice assignments in between sessions geared to building new frameworks into the client’s everyday practice.
At the end of 8 sessions, the coach and client met to evaluate the program’s effectiveness. In this case, the client chose to add 4 more sessions more intently focused on specific development areas..
After completing 12 sessions, the client received a promotion and their first official direct report. The client chose to continue with next-level sessions focused on honing their leadership skills, flexing into their strengths, and elevating their people-management capabilities.
The client originally approached Emphasis Consulting with an ask to help create an ice breaker activity for an offsite, five-hour event with 30-plus people.
They had never conducted one for their team before, so Emphasis built the entire event with expertise to shape the flow of the offsite and keep participants engaged.
With only a 2-week turnaround time — as the venue was already booked — Emphasis was able to meet with the leadership team to determine overall goals and focus for the offsite, provide guidance to all event speakers, and determine the type of engagement activities to take place throughout the day — all based on the team’s culture.
We provided three draft offsite agendas. Once they were approved by leadership, Emphasis owned the procurement of all supplies, communicated to the necessary vendors and administrative support, and became the key contact for all agenda details. On the day of the event, we showed up early to set up the room and make sure technology-related applications were running smoothly.
We MC’d the event, facilitated all team-building activities, and managed the timing and scheduling for the day. The day featured high energy and collaboration, and ended with the outlining of future action steps based on team momentum gained by the event.
Engagement from Emphasis can be customized by the amount of support and type of sessions needed.
This client’s interest in consulting started with 1:1 coaching based on a desire to be promoted into a traditional management role.
During the intake call, we established areas of focus and development, which included confidence building, stakeholder engagement, executive presence, and mentorship best practices.
Throughout our monthly and bi-monthly meetings, we were able to build on all skill areas and set intentional practice assignments in between sessions, helping the client build and execute new frameworks to put into everyday practice.
These sessions still continue with a new focus on leadership development.
After 12 sessions, this client successfully received a promotion and their first official direct report.
